Post race report

2015 saw the race double in size due to the move to an October date , everyone had a great run in the sunshine with the air temperatures averaging between 10-12 deg .Several runners reported that they had not seen the 6k marker although it had been put in earlier and when the course was cleared down it had been taken along with a route marker and a caution runners sign , these were taken in the space of just 40 minutes !
HQ was changed just for this year to the Hildenborough Village Hall as our usual venue (which is much better placed) had work being carried out in the main hall during the half-term break. Back there for 2016 !

The 2014 race had far better weather than the previous year with blue sky and sunshine yet the entry was way down on the previous year – very strange ? All the feedback we had had has been positive and everyone seemed to enjoy but numbers dictate which events survive and those that don’t and this race will not return to the spring date .

2013 A break in the wet weather saw 140 runners take to the lanes north of Tonbridge for this inaugural 10k run. The well-signed and marshalled route kept the field on the right track and with the finish in the small park off-road everyone could unwind , enjoy the Jaffas and water there before making their way to the school HQ where changing and hot drinks and more refreshments were available. The winners and age-group trophies were also given out here .
